The SML Consortium
Filsol are the lead partner in the Solar Microgeneration Limited (SML) consortium who were appointed by the Government as a ‘Framework Supplier’ for the LCBP Phase 2 scheme.
Since the launch of the programme in December 2006, SML has emerged as the UK’s leading provider of solar water heating systems to housing associations, RSLs and the public sector.
Accounting for over 65% of the total LCBP Phase 2 funding available for solar water heating, Filsol solar collectors have been specified for over 60 social housing schemes and on more than 50 public sector buildings across the UK.
Total grant funding allocated to SML projects reached more than £3 million by June 2009.
