Solar Hot Water For Swimming Pools

Swimming pool heating is one of the best applications for solar water heating.

Filsol supplies the cost effective SunStar solar pool heating system for outdoor pools. In this sytem the pool water is circulated directly through the panels.

Each SunStar panel consists of a large number of small tubes separated by an air gap and joined to top and bottom headers to form a single moulding of black, flexible, UV-stabilised polypropylene.

In the SunStar system, an electronic controller measures the temperature of the pool water and of the SunStar panels and whenever there is heat to be gained from the solar panels operates a diverter valve to divert water being circulated by the filtration pump through the panels.

For indoor pools operating at over 25^oC, Filsol can design systems based on our glazed, insulated solar collectors and utilising a heat exchanger to transfer heat to the pool water.
